Samantha McCann is a facilitator, designer, and organizational strategist who has spent her career helping people work better together.

She created the Solutions Journalism Summit (2017–2022), a sold-out, global “unconference” for practitioners each year. In 2024, she facilitated the European Solutions Journalism Summit in Prague — bringing together 80 journalists from 30 countries. 92% of participants said the event met or exceeded expectations, and 91% left inspired by the connections they made.

Before launching The Joinery Collective, Sam spent 15+ years designing programs, convenings, and organizational strategies for mission-driven organizations around the world.
